Culpeper Medical Associates opened CMA Family Physicians on October 1, 2006
to meet the rising need for primary medical care in Culpeper and surrounding
counties. Being one of the fastest growing counties in Virginia, Culpeper County
needed a medical office on the north side of the town where many of the new
housing developments now exist. CMA Family Physicians opened with one
full-time Family Physician, Lawrence Whitehurst, MD, FAAFP, and one part-time
Family Nurse Practitioner, Leslie Raiford, MS, RN, CFNP.
